Typography 11/29

I really love this poster and I want it! So basically the backside of the poster is covered in ink and when you open it up, theres nothing on it. You have to use the ink from the back in order to reveal the hidden message. The typography is a plain sans-serif typeface, but it helps deliver the strong message of the poster with adding any extra clutter or elements to the design. They say good typography is invisible...and in this case, it really is....kinda.

I really like this piece because it not only displays a neat way to match up different typefaces, but it represents the message with the torn pages. It looks as if the artist has made mistakes and had to tear parts off. These types of designs, I believe, always have a greater impact and convey the message more clearly.

So I recently became a big fan of AMC's TV series, The Walking Dead, and stumbled across this poster. I really like the texture of the type and how its all made out of zombies. Really unique and creative. Even though the decaying heart is a big graphic element, the color and texture of the typography makes it pop and keeps your eyes flowing rather than stopping and looking at the details of the heart.

10/25 Typography

I recently stumbled upon this typeface after viewing some other work by the same artist. I think this is a great example of creative typography and experimentation. Its got a neat look and texture to it and I can already think of a few places that could use it.

10/18 Typography

I found this wordmark somewhere and I really like how it all flows together. Without even reading it you know exactly what the company is all about. It has a nice flow and organic feel to the whole wordmark.

10/11 Typography

I think this is the greatest thing I have ever seen. It's just like what we did in class. Amazing.

10/4 Typography

I really like this. Its using type to create a meaning about type. The overall mood that is created is dark, kinda almost like we're looking at a stalker's notebook. Its very strange and clever.
