The typeface I chose is ITC Legacy Sans.
ITC Legacy Sans is a sans-serif
typeface designed by Ronald Arnholm in 1992. Arnholm was greatly
inspired to create the ITC Legacy font family by the Roman typeface
1470 Eusebius by Nicolas Jensen. While studying at Yale, Arnholm took
a type history class where they studied the 1470 Eusebius typeface
and he was so impressed with the quality of the design that he
decided to create a modern version of it. This endeavor proved to be
quite difficult for Arnholm to perfect and took decades of attentive
work. The typeface was originally released as “Jensen Roman” in
Linotype library, however Arnholm was dissatisfied and continued to
work on the typeface with the International Typeface Corporation. The
ITC Legacy font family now contains italicized versions, different
font weights, and also a serif version.
